Well this was an unexpected pleasure. Not unexpected in the sense that I didn't know it was gong to be good (everything these guys touch is GOOD) but certainly unexpected just how quickly this project is developing both as a label and a sound. Everything about the sound, the packaging, and the quality demonstrates that this is indeed a label that's going places.
Their latest release PATER 04: Priest continues on their three previous releases in delivering 8 tracks that suck you in and don't let you go. From the review blurb:
"27 February 2017 Pater Noster Ltd releases PATER004, an 8-track compilation cassette entitled "Priest", edition of 100. Dark and uncompromising tape of raw electronics. Side A kicks off with Innsyter's cruising "Singapore Sling", then welcomes return of the singular Mordd Imbet and the hardware techno mastermind Windom with his Yokotai project, and closes with Sortlegeme's heavenly "Amen". Side B showcases brutal techno cuts from Murray CY and Bergsonist alongside the nighttime acid dream of Abbrumer's "Sacrificio di Vicaria" and the death goth of DJ Loser's "EWD".
I couldn't agree more.
