Etching on side A appears to be a play on words in reference to Robert Ashley's album Automatic Writing. The term "automating" (slang for masturbation) is also present in the novel, Billy & Betty by Twiggs Jameson. There are many known references to this novel throughout Nurse With Wound's material but It is also possible that the term was inspired by neither.
