Translation:
For the ancestors who preceded us. You made us as we are. We carry you into the future. Use our lips, our eyes, our ears. Accept our offerings. Enter into out hearts, our arms, our legs. Enter and dance with us.

In return, they give us the dignity of our inherited strengths and gifts. The Ancestors are the cultural roots of a spiritual or Divine tree. The Vodoun is rooted firmly in the rich soil of ancestor worship. Remember who you are, and where you come from. Carry that flame forward, beyond your own limited history.
